KXS18 combines everyday communication and location support in a portable device for children, with app-based configuration for parents or administrators.
Children can select a configured contact using the physical buttons, then use the talk switch to place, answer or end a call. The dot-matrix display shows short contact labels, scrolling numbers and device status. KXS18 also supports calls between KXS18 devices.
Recorded voice messages let children stay in contact without requiring the recipient to answer a live call. Select a contact, pull down and hold the talk switch to record, then release to send. Unread messages can be played using the same switch while the device is in standby.
KXS18 provides a physical-button shortcut for requesting help. With the device powered on, hold the power button for approximately three seconds, then release it after the vibration prompt to initiate an SOS emergency call.
KXS18 combines GNSS satellite positioning, Wi-Fi positioning, cellular base-station positioning (LBS) and A-GPS assistance. Supported satellite systems include GPS, BeiDou, Galileo, GLONASS and QZSS.
Location performance depends on the positioning method and surrounding environment. Geofencing and location history can be customized through integration with a supporting platform.
Parents or administrators can use the supporting mobile app and Bluetooth connection to configure the device and manage contact whitelists. Communication permissions can be reviewed for the intended project, while children use the physical controls for daily calls and messages.
KXS18 supports 4G connectivity and 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi, automatically switching to Wi-Fi when it enters the home network’s coverage area. North American and Australian/European LTE configurations are available for different target markets.
Give children a portable way to reach configured family contacts through calls and voice messages. Live calls support immediate conversations, while recorded messages let children leave an update when the recipient cannot answer.
Combine location support, family communication and SOS calling for journeys to and from school and other daily activities. Physical controls allow children to access the main communication functions without navigating complex menus.
KAER can evaluate KXS18 for children’s communication products and location service projects. Requirements may include:
Target-market LTE configuration
Contact whitelist and calling rules
Voice messaging workflows
App and platform adaptation
Geofencing and location history
Branding and packaging requests
KXS18 supports one SIP account and SIP-based platform connectivity. For an existing system, share the platform documentation, required device data and communication workflows so compatibility and adaptation requirements can be assessed.
OTA firmware upgrades support remote software maintenance. Customization scope and delivery requirements are confirmed after technical evaluation.
What is the difference between voice messaging and a live call?
A live call connects both users for a real-time conversation. Voice messaging lets the recipient listen to a recorded message later, without answering a call. KXS18 supports both.
How is an SOS call triggered?
With KXS18 powered on, hold the power button for approximately three seconds and release it after the vibration prompt. The device then initiates an SOS emergency call. Confirm SOS contact settings and calling behavior during sample setup.
Can parents manage contacts and calling permissions?
Yes. KXS18 supports app-managed contact whitelists and communication permissions, with Bluetooth used for device configuration. Specific incoming and outgoing calling rules can be reviewed for your project.
Which network version should we choose?
Provide your target country and mobile operator. KAER can review the North American or Australian/European LTE configuration and recommend a suitable version for sample testing.
Can we use our own platform for tracking and geofencing?
Platform integration can be evaluated against your technical requirements. Geofencing and location history require supporting platform functionality and are confirmed as part of the customization scope.
How long does the battery last?
KXS18 has a 1500mAh battery. Operating time varies with calls, voice messages, positioning activity, network conditions and device settings. Evaluate runtime using your intended configuration during sample testing.
Developing a children’s GPS tracker, communication product or location service?
Share your target country, mobile operator, estimated quantity and required calling, messaging and platform functions. KAER can review the configuration, assess customization requirements and arrange samples for evaluation.
